The apartment is designed for relaxation by the sea. The main concept, a tribute to the view from the window. The flooring in all rooms in white sand concrete extends the beach impression, in the living room the integrated 'wind rose' navigates worlds ordinal directions. On the wall surfaces, the concrete is blended with acoustic 'phantom' panels. The combination of the white ceiling with the 'Fantoni' acoustic and decorative panels creates the impression of a yacht interior. The concrete emphasises the industrial character of the harbour. The bedroom on the seaward side is made of light grey concrete – a reflection of the Baltic Sea. Fantoni panels create the perfect acoustics for the room, and when the terrace door is opened, the sound of the waves is released, to the room, as they roll onto the shore. The interior doors are 'invisible' and are raised almost to the ceiling, giving them a solid feel. Most of the furniture is made of solid oak, indistinguishable from other wooden surfaces. The mirror in and behind the cupboard visually destroys the wall. All the surfaces are characterised by their durability and practicality as the apartment will be rented.
